Dr. Larry Higgins is an Orthopedic surgeon with a passion for business strategy as a way to augment his impact on patients’ quality of life. He is currently leading Product, Corporate and Strategic Development for one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in Healthcare – Arthrex, Inc. Dr. Higgins has authored over 175 peer-reviewed publications and chapters and has led both prospective and retrospective clinical studies. He is the former Chief of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Harvard University’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the former team physician and professor at Duke University. He completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at University of Pittsburgh Orthopedic Residency at HSS. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), his Doctorate in Medicine from Stony Brook University and a Master of Science from Georgetown University.
