Be Aware of Fraudulent Housing Agencies

Attention: Fraudulent companies pretending to be the official ICRS housing agency are trying to contact participants by offering assistance with hotel reservations. Do not trust such calls or sites that do not represent ICRS  and do not provide your credit card information to anyone other than the official reservation site below. Particularly be attentive when receiving an email from a company named “Expo Hotel Services”. Delete and ignore….

For your convenience, the ICRS has made a major commitment to the City of Bologna in order to secure a sufficient block of conveniently located hotel rooms in the city center at competitive rates. We kindly ask participants and industry partners to book their hotel rooms as early as possible but not later than August 15, 2022, through the link below.

A Day in Bologna

“La dotta, la rossa, la grassa” (“the learned one”- for its renowned university, “the fat one”- for its cuisine, and “the red one”- a reference to the red rooftops throughout the city) are the three most popular nicknames Bologna is known for, but besides the curious nicknames, what is Bologna Italy known for?

Situated in Northern Italy, Bologna is the capital and biggest city of the Emilia Romagna region. It is located about midway between two of the most popular cities in Italy, Florence, and Venice. Both of them are easily reachable by train in about an hour journey. On the other hand, Rome is 400 km south, which takes about 4 hours by car and 2 hours by train.

With roughly 400 000 inhabitants and a metro area of about 1 million people, Bologna is a reasonably large city, the 7th largest in Italy. Despite not being one of the most visited cities in Italy, Bologna is a fascinating destination.
