Christian Plaass is a German foot and ankle surgeon. After studying he did his specialist training in Switzerland, already focusing on foot surgery. There he was trained by Prof. Dr. Beat Hintermann, Prof. Dr. Dr. Victor Valderrabano and others in foot surgery. During that time he was also trained by Prof. Dr. Hefti and Prof. Dr. Carol Hasler in paediatric orthopedics. He then returned to Germany and works since them at the Hannover Medical School in the Orthopedic clinic in the DIAKOVERE Annastift. His research focusses on all varieties of foot and ankle disease, especially in cartilage damages of the ankle and ankle arthritis. He is member of the board of the German chapter of the ICRS (QKG e.v.) and the International Bone research association (IBRA). He is member of the scientific comitee of the European foot and ankle society and Co-editor of the Journal of the German Foot and Ankle society (D.A.F.).
