Kristof Sas ended his professional football career in 2005 to start as one of the team physicians at RSC Anderlecht (Belgium). He worked consecutively for RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge and again RSC Anderlecht. Currently he is team physician of the Belgian national team (‘Red Devils’) and medical consultant for Royal Antwerp FC. Kristof also has a private practice in sports medicine, with a special focus on soccer. As a ‘football doctor’ he is specialized in structural and functional muscle injuries, but also in the conservative management of tendinopathies and osteo-arthritis. He is an expert in ultrasound guided PRP treatments. More recently his clinical and research interest is in the field of adipose derived stem cells. As an ER specialist he is also working at AZ Glorieux (Ronse / Belgium). He is vice president of BFDA (Belgian Football Doctors and Associates).
