After much consideration and discussion, the ICRS Executive Board and the ICRS 2021 Congress Organizing Committee have take the difficult decision to postpone the ICRS World Congress Berlin from August 2021 to April 12 – 15, 2022. The new Abstract Submission Deadline has been postponed to October 15, 2021.
We are well aware that those new congress dates are not optimal for everybody since they are falling into Easter / Vacations time in some countries. On the other side, April is a lovely spring month and there are always many attractive events all across Berlin. Easter in Berlin has a characteristic mix of traditional German festivities and food, with a twist of Berlin parties, carnivals and bonfires. The holiday weekend brings also unique offerings for family-friendly or adult-only fun for locals and visitors to enjoy. The ICRS 2022 website has now been updated: https://cartilage.org/icrs2021-world-congress-berlin/preliminary-programme/
The world is still in the hand of the corona virus and we are all struggling to keep ourselves and the persons next to us surviving this crisis. However, we also have to look into the future and strongly move forward in the world of medical research and experimental science in cartilage repair and joint preservation. ICRS mission to promote science and education in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions is a sustainable goal and will be there after – hopefully – we have mastered this virus disaster. The pandemic of musculoskeletal diseases – like osteoarthritis – and the burden of pain and immobility will still challenge our daily work in research and clinics.
Thank you in advance for your comprehension and collaboration. We count on you to receive a record number of exciting abstracts until October. Mark your Agenda, plan to bring your family for a memorable Easter Break in Berlin 2022.
