Joint preservation and cartilage restoration is Major part of the Sports Surgery and Medicine practice in Aspetar. The hospital is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar University with a huge research program apart from clinical daily diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation processes. Educational activities include weekly surgical meetings, grand rounds, journal clubs, Lectures together with increased exposure in OR and OPD time. International congresses are organized by the department and all surgeons are considered key opinion leaders in their field of expertise being involved in major societies and in ICRS, in particular.
