Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception

All participants, industry representatives and accompanying persons are invited to join the opening ceremony as well as the welcome reception at the Melia Sitges. The Reception is offered to you by the ICRS on a complimentary basis. After the cocktail, participants have free time for their own leisure to discover Sitges and enjoy one of the many nice restaurants, bars & clubs in the city.

Speed Mentoring Reception
Saturday, Sept 09, 2023, from 19.00 – 20.30 h
The ICRS Translational Research Committee is happy to invite all researchers, clinicians and industry partners regardless of their career stage to the informal “Speed mentoring reception”, which will take place on September 9, at 19:00 in Room Carpa (behind the breakfast room, lobby level).
The following topics will be discussed at the tables:
- How to start collaboration between clinicians and researchers
- How to build a sustained research program and diversified funding portfolio
- How to set realistic goals
- Entrepreneurship and collaboration with industry
- Lifestyle of clinicians vs researchers
- Work-life harmony
- Authorship on collaborative projects

ICRS Fun Run for Healthy Joints
Sunday, Sept 10, 2023, from 06.45 – 07.30 h
The ICRS and Hotel Melia understand that maintaining a fitness routine while travelling is difficult. Congress participants wanting to get off the treadmill and take their workout outside can join the ICRS Fun Run led by ICRS Members. Runners meet at 6:30 h in the Lobby for a four-mile jog returning by 7:30 h.

President’s Dinner in the Vineyards (upon invitation only)

Located in the heart of Penedès and surrounded by vineyards and Mediterranean flora, sits the carefully restored Masia Torreblanca, a beautiful country house from the 15th century closely tied to its winemaking origins in the 12th century.

Catalonian Farewell Evening
