UK ICRS Cartilage Club Meeting

Canterbury Christ Church University, Chatham Maritime campus, UK

In association with SK Research Foundation & Canterbury Christ Church University

Course Chairmen: Professor Tim Briggs and Professor James Richardson

Course Convenor: Professor A A Shetty

The 2nd ICRS UK Cartilage Club Meeting was a resounding success with a distinguished international faculty, all experts in their field, sharing knowledge about recent advances in cartilage repair. The topics covered ranged from innovations in classical techniques to newer MIS techniques. Basic sciences, rehabilitation, imaging protocols and joint preserving techniques were also discussed. The meeting was attended by 50 delegates and appreciated by all. Additionally, the meeting was accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for 11 points.

The venue for the meeting was the historic Chatham Maritime campus of the Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent, UK. The attendees also had a chance to explore the neighbouring town of historic Rochester with its 400 year old Norman cathedral and castle.

Based on the success of the meeting, we have decided to organise the 3rd ICRS UK Cartilage Club Meeting in early 2014. This meeting will be convened by Prof A A Shetty.
