The committee shall recommend measures to be taken to actively increase the engagement of clinical and basic scientists with governance and with ongoing activities of the ICRS. Initiative to further engage junior members will given special attention since this group of membership is regarded as the future of the society. Further, the Basic Science Committee will review the scientific quality of the ICRS events, in order to 1) ensure significant attendance of ICRS events by basic scientists, and 2) foster the mission of the ICRS as a forum for international collaboration in cartilaginous tissue research by bringing together basic scientists and clinical researchers.
Its members and Chair shall be elected and serve as delineated in Election Procedures.
