Medical Doctor and Orthopaedic Surgeon (Graduation and Degree of specialist at University of Bologna with grades 110/110 cum laude), since 2018 member of the orthopedic staff of the II Orthopedic Clinic and ATR center, IRCCS Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute, Bologna, Italy, focusing on clinical and basic research in sport traumatology and musculoskeletal tissue engineering.
Clinical expertise in knee surgery with special focus on cartilage procedure, degenerative diseases, new treatment for cartilage and meniscus regeneration, and OA prevention. Investigator of research projects and clinical trials regarding biotechnology applications in orthopaedics (from pre-clinical studies to clinical trials) funded by Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, Italian government, and European Community. Ongoing PhD in Surgical Science at University of Bologna. Author of over 60 articles published in indexed and impacted journals, attended over 50 national and international congresses. Member of ICRS and SIAGASCOT.
Member of the Cartilage and Regenerative Medicine Committee of the Società Italiana di Artroscopia, Ginocchio, Arto superiore, Sport, Cartilagine e Tecnologie Ortopediche (SIAGASCOT).
