Dr Lukasz Paczesny is an orthopaedic surgeon and researcher. He was interested in arthroscopy since beginning of his training in 2000. He wrote his PhD thesis on arthroscopic treatment of the medial plica of the knee in 2010 and two years later he has organised Orvit Clinic – an sports orthopaedic division of Citomed – one of the biggest private health centres in Poland. When most modern part of the company – CitoCare hospital- was started in 2015 he became a chief orthopaedic surgeon there.
Dr Paczesny specialises in complex arthroscopic surgery of shoulder, hip, knee and ankle including ligaments rotator cuffs, advanced meniscus reconstructions. He has wide experience with synthetic ligaments, membranes and meniscal implants.
He is an active member of Polish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Polish Arthroscopic Society and European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy. His scientific publications cover broad spectrum of topics in sports medicine and musculoskeletal imaging. Current projects include intraoperative use of ultrasound, degeneration of tendons and cartilage biomaterials.
