We are a NHS specialist Orthopaedic hospital with all subspecialist interests covered except general trauma. Our knee and sports injuries team offer the full range of joint reconstructive and preservation surgeries. We welcome visitors for education. There are well established training programs (UK specialist training) and stand alone subspecialist post CCT fellowships.

Prior to Professor Richardson’s untimely passing we were involved with the ICRS events and hosted a cartilage symposium every two to 3 years. There is a desire within the team to rekindle this

One of the few dedicated Orthopaedic Hospitals in the UK and the only Uk site with its own ACI cell lab. The joint preservation and cartilage repair unit was developed by the late Professor James Richardson and has a 20 yr + history of ACI and joint preservation.
