Sylvia Nürnberger

Sylvia Nürnberger is Assoc. Prof. at the MedUni Vienna, Dep. of Orthopedics and Trauma-Surgery and head of the Cartilage Regeneration Group of the Austrian Cluster of Tissue Regeneration. Her research focus is the prevention of post traumatic osteoarthritis by understanding trauma- and age-related changes in the joint (analysis of synovia, cells and matrix), improve biomaterials (decellularized cartilage scaffolds) and donor cell quality (subpopulation analysis, senolytics), investigate non-invasive treatments (photobiomodulation) and develop in vitro models (spheroid and tissue models).
