Marlena Maria Księżarczyk

I am originally from Poland and hold an MSc in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland. I am enthusiastic about veterinary anatomy and orthopedics. During my MSc, I gained hands-on experience through five international internships in Norway, Italy, and Romania, spending nearly half my studies abroad. Currently, I am a third-year PhD Candidate at the Department of Orthopedics (UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands), focusing my research on the differences in the morphology of the osteochondral unit among various animal species and investigating the mechanisms of articular cartilage integration in an ex vivo model. In addition, during my PhD, I completed a three-semester MBA program in healthcare management at National Louis University, Poland, and a research internship at the University of Eastern Finland in Kuopio.
