Denise Eygendaal

Denise Eygendaal, was trained in Medical school Rotterdam, Harvard medical school, Melbourne University and Arhus University. She got her PhD degree on medial instability of the elbow at the university of Leiden (2000) . She is an upper limb surgeon, for more than 20 years, and professor in elbow related pathology at the University of Amsterdam since 2016. She is currently working at the Erasmus University Medical Centre in Rotterdam, the Netherlands as full strategic professor and head of department of orthopaedics, sportsmedicine and physiotherapy.
Prof. dr. Denise Eygendaal is an orthopedic surgeon specialized in disorders of the
arm, and in particular the elbow. Her clinical work and research projects span both
the prevention and treatment of injuries, which she carries out in close collaboration
with orthopedic surgeons, plastic- and trauma surgeons, physical therapists, sports doctors, rehabilitation doctors and radiologists around the world. She currently supervises 20 PhD students, she has more than 300 scientific, peer reviewed, scientific publications and has contributed to more than fifteen books on elbow surgery. She wrote four books on elbow pathology herself . She was involved in or course director of more than 200 educational elbow events worldwide.
She loves to play tennis.
