Working Group Underrepresented Regions

Working Group Underrepresented Regions

Role of the Working Group

Historically, there has been a constant representation of different groups to improve diversity and inclusivity in the ICRS. The ICRS Executive Board 2023-2025 has actively taken up these opinions and initiated the formation of a working group on underrepresented regions. The aim of this working groups is to identify the key areas that are underrepresented in the ICRS, discuss and offer possible solutions and strategies to overcome these challenges. The working group members come from various underrepresented geographical locations, from basic research backgrounds and of all genders. To keep active involvement of all members, the working group has been designed to be a dynamic: less active members retire from the working group and new enthusiast members get the opportunity to join. The working group reports to the 2nd Vice-President.
