Deadline November 30: ICRS Global Access Fellowship Warsaw 2026

This ICRS initiative provides an opportunity for young orthopedic surgeons, residents, fellows, or scientists from South America, Africa, and Asia who are interested in cartilage regeneration and joint preservation. These regions are currently underrepresented in the ICRS membership.

The ICRS Global Access Fellowship offers one fully hosted participation (including travel, hotel, event registration, and all social and networking events) in the upcoming 9th Surgical Skills Course & Wet Lab β€œJoint Preservation Techniques from A to Z” in Warsaw/Poland, from April 24 to 25, 2026.

Following this experience, the fellow is required to submit a written report of their experience to ICRS. The report will be published on the society website and shared with a wider ICRS community via ICRS digital channels.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Participation is restricted to applicants living in South America, Africa, or Asia and working in cartilage regeneration and joint preservation.
  • Applicants must be under 40 years of age at the time of the application.
  • Applicants cannot have benefited from previous ICRS Fellowships.
  • Applicants must be fluent in English.
  • Priority is given to applicants who are ICRS members or part of the wider ICRS community.

Application instructions:

Checklist for your application (to be received by November 30, 2025, at the latest, in 1 single PDF file):

  • A one-page letter of motivation outlining your goals for the fellowship, the potential impact of the fellowship, and the ICRS network on your career and on the field of cartilage regeneration and joint preservation in your geographic region.
  • A two-page Curriculum Vitae that includes date of birth, complete mailing address and email address, current and past affiliations, degrees, awards, and research activities
  • A list of publications of the last 3 years with titles and full journal references
  • A short letter from your previous or current department head supporting your application
  • A copy of a valid passport and proof of residence in South-America, Africa or Asia.
  • A copy of graduation/specialist certification.

The winning candidate will be selected by December 15, 2025, based on i) merit, ii) potential to be a leader in the field, and iii) potential to have an impact on the geographic region of residence.
