Job Description: The Department of Biological Sciences (www.bio.udel.edu) at the University of Delaware (UD) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor-level position in Musculoskeletal Research that can include, but is not limited to, molecular, cellular, and developmental mechanisms of musculoskeletal structure and function, pathogenesis of musculoskeletal disorders, and/or strategies for therapeutic intervention, and can span a range of length scales from organism to molecule. Candidates using cutting-edge approaches to address fundamental questions in musculoskeletal biology, including cell and developmental biology, cellular biomechanics and biophysics, computational biology and bioinformatics, and physiology, are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be part of UD’s NIH-funded Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE): the Delaware Center for Musculoskeletal Research (DCMR) (https://sites.udel.edu/engr-dcmr/). The DCMR will support multiple new faculty across collaborating departments with opportunities for joint appointments, will provide research infrastructure, and will support faculty success with mentoring and funding opportunities.
