Are you a young surgeon/researcher interested in joining the world of cartilage and joint preservation?

ICRS encourages you to join the upcoming ICRS Focus Meeting on Allografts & Synthetics! The ICRS Focus meeting will take place in Nice/France, from April 27-29, 2023. It will bring it all, from diagnostics to imaging to conservative and surgical treatments, including biology. As the knee is an “organ”, other issues like menisci and alignment will be part of this highly focused meeting supported by all partners. The programme focuses on the relationship between menisci and cartilage in the load-bearing joint, bringing long-term results in meniscal allograft transplantation. This ICRS Focus meeting will also discuss the latest on bone and ligament allografts and alternatives.

Professor Roy D Altman, age 85, passed away on Wednesday November 30, 2022. For ICRS and its members, he is known as the first editor in Chief of Journal CARTILAGE. However, Roy Altman is also known as legendary person in the development of different therapies of osteoarthritis. Roy Altman received his medical education and training in internal medicine and rheumatology at the University of Miami in Florida where he also was a Professor of Medicine and Orthopedics and Chief of Rheumatology at the University of Miami as well as Chief of Rheumatology and Clinical Director of the Geriatric Center at the Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center.
