08:00 – 09:30  Session 2: The Patellofemoral Joint: Case Presentations and Discussion

Like the medial knee, this session will be architected to include several cases that will represent the continuum of clinical pathology and care but will include overlapping considerations for patellar instability in the setting of articular cartilage disease that will be managed in a staged or concomitant fashion.

Panel: TBA

08:00-08:20     Case 1: Patellofemoral Pain with Chondromalacia and No Bone Loss)

  • Non-Operative Management
  • Debridement
  • Planning for the Future
  • Soft Tissue Management
  • Osteotomy? Cartilage?
  • ReLive TTO with Multiple Techniques

08:20-08:40     Case 2: Patellofemoral Chondral Damage in the 1st Time Dislocator with Fragment

09:15-09:30     Q&A

09:30-10:00     Coffee Break & Exhibition

10:00-12:00     Session 3: The Medial Knee: Case Presentations and Discussion

As new technology (orthobiologics, bracing, MISHA, Cartiheal, osteotomy systems, subchondral bone management, limited arthroplasty resurfacing, etc) is now available, the decision-making and indications to implement these solutions is increasingly complex.  This session will ask faculty to present consistently formatted clinical cases including edited re-live surgical videos to emphasize the indications, contraindications, surgical techniques and anticipated outcomes following their use of available orthobiologics, surgical implants, and technology when managing patients with medial knee joint dysfunction. All cartilage techniques will be represented including those in association with meniscal deficiency.  Specific emphasis will include:  the timing of surgery (single vs two-stage), isolated vs combination treatments, peri-operative patient management and a realistic presentation of outcomes using all levels of available evidence (level I-V).

Panel: TBA
