Hello fellow ICRS members! At this juncture in time, we are approaching mid-summer and almost halfway through my first-year term as your president. I wanted to bring you up to speed on several things.
New members of the Executive Board (2nd Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary General) are elected by ratification of the General Membership based on a recommended slate of candidates selected by the Ad-hoc Nomination Committee. Earlier this year, all ICRS members were invited to cast an electronic vote for up to four candidates to serve on the ICRS Nomination Committee. The election results are now in.
Vienna waits for you! Vienna was the place for imaging and skills courses several times since the foundation of ICRS, represented by well-established research groups and clinical scientists and surgeons in Austria.
The program objective is to provide an opportunity for young orthopedic surgeons, residents, fellows, or clinical scientists to gain exposure to the world of articular cartilage injury, repair, and regeneration by meeting key experts in the field. Selected as potential leaders in cartilage regeneration and joint preservation, fellows will travel with their Godfather, Dr. Jack Farr from Indianapolis/IN, to visit research facilities, observe surgical procedures, and participate in social events with the hosting cartilage community.
