Camila Cohen Kaleka
I am a health sciences professional focused on clinical research, regenerative orthopedics, and the critical evaluation of scientific evidence. I have been a member of the International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society (ICRS) since 2011, and my academic training has been centered on biologic and cell-based therapies. My master’s degree focused on meniscal transplantation, and my PhD advanced the study of cell therapy strategies for osteoarticular diseases.
I serve as a reviewer for the Journal of Cartilage & Joint Preservation (JCJP) and as President of the Committee on Regenerative Orthopedics and Cell Therapy of the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology for the 2024–2025 term. In these roles, I work to promote scientific rigor, precise terminology, and responsible translation of new technologies into clinical practice.
My expertise spans the appraisal of randomized clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, with attention to methodological consistency, statistical integrity, and clinical relevance. I am currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship focused on a preclinical study evaluating novel scaffold and cell-based combinations for cartilage repair.
I also serve as an invited examiner in doctoral committees at leading institutions, including the University of São Paulo, providing detailed scientific, methodological, and writing-focused assessments.
