Christoph Sattler
Christoph Sattler works at SMMS Coaching, a complementary medicine competence center and Base of High Performance. He is a sports and nutritional sciences expert and holds several certifications in radial shockwave therapy, functional knee therapy, functional diagnostics, and anthropometry. He has also completed several diploma programs and curricula in ultrasound, rehabilitation, nutritional medicine, orthomolecular medicine, medical training theory and therapy, and sports medicine. To deepen his theoretical knowledge, he spent several years in Salzburg, concurrently with his medical training, working in the research department at the University Hospital for Trauma Surgery and Sports Traumatology, and previously at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) in the Department of Anatomy and Musculoskeletal Research. He has also completed several international placements, including with Dr. Schöpp at the BG Clinic and with Prof. Dr. Tischer at the Waldklinik in Erlangen. Since 2014, Christoph has specialized in the development and enhancement of TABOS at SMMS Coaching. TABOS (target action before orthopedic surgery) is a preoperative, multi-stage concept comprised of medically supervised exercise, applied sports nutrition, and functional nutritional medicine, specifically developed for elective orthopedics. This is also his goal as a newly elected member of the ICRS to contribute to and scientifically substantiate basic research.
