Theodorakys Marin Fermin
Theodorakys Marín Fermín, MD, is a Sports Orthopaedic Surgeon with a private practice at Santa Sofía Clinic in Caracas, Venezuela. He completed fellowships at TheMIS Orthopaedic Center in Thessaloniki, Greece (2018), and Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha, Qatar (2021–2023), specializing in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries for recreational and elite athletes.
Dr. Marín has comprehensive expertise in sports medicine, orthobiologics, and surgical innovation. He actively contributes to global orthopaedic progress as a committee member of ISAKOS and ICRS. He serves on the Editorial Boards of International Orthopaedics (SICOT) and the Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics (ESSKA). His academic work includes over 50 publications and book chapters focused on joint preservation and cartilage regeneration.
Previously, he was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hospital Universitario Periférico de Coche in Caracas (2018–2021) and Team Physician and Head of Rehabilitation for Xanthi FC in Greece’s Super League (2019).
