9th ICRS Surgical Skills Course Joint Preservation Techniques from A to Z
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the upcoming ICRS Surgical Skills Course, taking place in Warsaw, Poland, on April 24th – 25th, 2026.
This unique and intensive hands-on course is entirely dedicated to Joint Preservation techniques. The program is designed to provide participants with an unparalleled opportunity for practical surgical training in procedures that aim to preserve and restore native joint function, with a focus on cartilage repair, meniscus preservation, osteotomies, and biologic joint restoration strategies.
Throughout the course, participants will engage in a comprehensive and in-depth learning experience, working on cadaveric specimens using advanced instrumentation, guided by an international faculty of experts in joint-preserving surgery. The course combines step-by-step instructions, live demonstrations, and structured skills stations, all grounded in current clinical evidence and best practices.
The course will feature demonstrations of key joint-preserving procedures, including realignment osteotomies around the knee, advanced meniscal repair techniques, and state-of-the-art cartilage reconstruction methods.
A special focus will also be placed on orthobiologic therapies, which are increasingly integrated into surgical and non-surgical treatment algorithms for joint preservation. These cutting-edge techniques reflect the evolving role of biologics in enhancing tissue regeneration and improving clinical outcomes.
To ensure a practical and efficient learning experience, the course has been designed with a blended learning format. Participants will receive access to pre-recorded lectures and instructional content online before the course, allowing them to review theoretical foundations at their convenience. This will also enable focused Q&A and case discussions on-site, freeing nearly the entire schedule during the course itself for practical work in the lab.
We are also pleased to welcome physiotherapists, who will have the opportunity to actively participate in selected hands-on sessions within the cadaver lab, alongside surgeons. In addition, the course will feature dedicated educational content focused on rehabilitation protocols and the role of physiotherapy in joint preservation strategies, emphasizing the importance of seamless collaboration between surgical and rehabilitation teams.
Whether you are seeking to enhance your proficiency or adopt innovative approaches in joint preservation, this course offers an outstanding educational experience in a modern surgical training environment. By attending, you will gain practical skills, learn from international experts, and have the opportunity to network with other healthcare professionals in the field.
